Georgia P. Karatza was born in Athens, Greece, in 1974. She received the BSc degree from the Department of Mathematics, University of Athens, Zografou, Greece, in 1998, with specialization in applied mathematics, the MSc degree in Advanced Telecommunications Systems and Networks from the University of Peloponnese, Tripoli, Greece, in 2016, and the PhD in 2020, also from the University of Peloponnese. Her research interests include wireless digital communications, and specifically MIMO and cooperative systems, fading channels, and communication theory issues. She has been a faculty in mathematics in public high school from 2008.
