Nikos C. Sagias was born in Athens, Greece in 1974. He received the BSc degree in physics in 1998, and MSc and PhD degrees in Telecommunications Engineering in 2000 and 2005, respectively, all from the University of Athens, Greece. Since 2001, he has been involved in various National and European Research & Development projects as a research associate with the Institute of Space Applications & Remote Sensing of the National Observatory of Athens, Greece. During 2006-2008, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Laboratory of Mobile Communications of the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications of the National Center for Scientific Research–“Demokritos,” Athens, Greece. In 2009 he was elected as an Assistant Professor at the Informatics & Telecommunications department of the University of Peloponnese, Tripoli, Greece, where currently he is a Professor, while during 2014-16 and 2018-20 we served as the Head of the department.

Dr. Sagias research interests are in the area of digital communications, including MIMO, multihop, and diversity systems, fading channels, and satellite communications. In his record, he has over seventy (70) papers in prestigious international journals and more than fifty (50) in the proceedings of world recognized conferences. He has served as an associate editor of the IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications. Moreover, he was an Editor for the Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, AEÜ - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, Research Letters in Communications, while he serves as a reviewer and technical program committee member for several international journals. He is a co-recipient of the best paper award in the IEEE WCNC, Istanbul Turkey, April 2014 and the 3rd ISCCSP, Malta, March 2008. Additionally, he is a senior member of the IEEE, and a member of the IEEE Communications Society and the Hellenic Physicists Association.

Kostas Peppas received the Dipl. – Ing. and Dr. – Ing. degrees in Electrical Engineering both from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, in 1997 and 2004, respectively. From 2010-2014, Dr Peppas has been affiliated with the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications, National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos”, working in the areas of wireless communications as a post doctoral researcher. In 2014, he joined the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, University of Peloponnese, where he is currently a faculty member. His current research interests include Wireless Networks, Digital Communications over Fading Channels, MIMO systems, Cooperative Communications, System Level Performance Evaluation of Wireless Systems, Smart Antennas, Optical Wireless Communications, Cognitive Radio, Digital Signal Processing and Applied Mathematics. Dr. Peppas is the author or co-author of over 60 journal and conference papers in the above areas. Dr Peppas is a Senior Member of the IEEE, the IEEE Communications Society and the Technical Chamber of Greece. Dr Peppas acts as a Reviewer for several international journals and conferences (including the IEEE and The Institute of Engineering and Technology). He has also been a member of the Technical Program Committee (TPC) of several international conferences.

Michael C. Batistatos received the bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Ioannina, Ioannina, Greece, in 2000, and the M.Sc. degree in Digital Communications Systems from Loughborough University, Loughborough, U.K., in 2001. He has been a telecommunication field engineer with the leading telecommunications company Intracom Telecom, Athens, Greece, he has been an IT and Telecommunications Teacher with private and public educational organizations, he has been participated in European telecommunications projects, he has been worked with the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of National Research Center “Demokritos”, Athens, Greece and since 2008 he has been a Laboratory Teaching Staff Member with the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, University of Peloponnese, Tripolis, Greece. His current research interest includes UAV systems (drones), UAV communications and future wireless communications systems and applications.

Georgia P. Karatza was born in Athens, Greece, in 1974. She received the BSc degree from the Department of Mathematics, University of Athens, Zografou, Greece, in 1998, with specialization in applied mathematics, the MSc degree in Advanced Telecommunications Systems and Networks from the University of Peloponnese, Tripoli, Greece, in 2016, and the PhD in 2020, also from the University of Peloponnese. Her research interests include wireless digital communications, and specifically MIMO and cooperative systems, fading channels, and communication theory issues. She has been a faculty in mathematics in public high school from 2008.

Dr. Panagiotis Argyrakis is an Electronic Engineer, born in 1976, with many years of experience in networks, telecommunications, and electronics. He has worked in organizations such as the Hellenic Aerospace Industry, the National Observatory of Athens, the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, the University of West Attica, the Democritus University of Thrace, and numerous European and co-funded research programs. He has extensive expertise in configuring and maintaining network devices (routers, firewalls, switches, 3G routers, etc.) and in the installation and configuration of GNSS stations.

Additionally, he has academic experience as an adjunct lecturer at the University of West Attica, where he teaches subjects such as Spatial Databases, General Cartography, Digital Cartography, Computer Networks, and Java Network Programming. He is also a licensed UAV operator and has taught at the Dominate school as an instructor in UAV operator certification courses.

His academic studies include a BSc in Electronic Engineering from the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences, a Master's in Advanced Topics in Telecommunications and Networks from the University of Peloponnese, and a PhD in Data, Signal, and Time Series Analysis from the University of Peloponnese. His digital skills include programming (Python, Matlab, Java), spatial information systems (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS), and artificial intelligence algorithms. Furthermore, he has contributed to the scientific community with 245 citations and holds an h-index of 9 and an i10-index of 9 according to Google Scholar.

Manolis Bozis received his Diploma degree (1998), from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Aristoteles University of Thessaloniki and a B.Sc. in economics from the University of Peloponnese (2009). He holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science (2012) and an M.Sc. in Modern Wireless Communications (2021), both from the University of Peloponnese. His research interests involve software defined radio platforms, wireless communication systems and open source communication software. He is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 1998.
